Information pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, art. 13)

For the performance of the activities to which this notice refers: a) the data controller is the CNR, through the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the CNR, Registry .it (http://www.nic.it); b) the data processor is the Registrar that from time to time manages the contractual relationship with the Registrant; its identification details are contained in the contract in force between the aforesaid Registrar and the Registrant, and are therefore known to the data subject.

A list of data processors is available on the Registry's website at http://www.nic.it. The Registrar remains the data controller with respect to the contractual relationship directly entered into with the Registrant, which is not covered by this notice; c) the mandatory information is that which is indispensable for the performance of the service requested. The personal data of the Registrant are collected by the Registrar that from time to time manages the contractual relationship with the Registrant by means of this form, in order to register and manage the domain name in the Database of Assigned Names at the CNR Institute of Informatics and Telematics, .it Registry. In addition to the personal data collected through the filling in of the form, where the transaction is carried out electronically, the IP address from which the Internet connection originates relating to the filling in of the form online at the Registrant and the log of the relative transaction will also be collected and stored, in order to contribute to the identification of the registrant in relation to the declared generalities and the declarations made by the registrant. The personal data, the aforementioned IP address and the transaction log constitute the mandatory information. The compulsory information collected will be processed for the purposes of administrative and accounting management, protection of rights and the other purposes and activities connected with the registration, management, dispute, transfer and cancellation of the domain name, as well as to comply with legal obligations, regulations or EU legislation, and communicated to third parties for activities ancillary to or necessary for the fulfilment of the aforementioned purposes.

The data will not be used and communicated to third parties for marketing or direct marketing activities. With the exception of the IP address, the data will also be communicated to third parties who declare their intention to act to protect their rights against the Registrant in connection with the registration or use of the domain name. In compliance with the technical rules of the Internet Engineering Task Force - IETF (http://www.ietf.org) aimed at guaranteeing the reachability of the domain name on the Internet network, in order to maintain the balance of the relevant system, as well as in consideration of the Registry's .it Registry's policy to avoid situations of anonymity and to allow the traceability of assignees, in the event of registration the following data will in any case be visible on the Internet, by means of a Whois query, together with the domain name: name and surname of the registrant or company name, domain status, Registrar and technical data (contactID, registration date, expire date, last updated date and nameservers). For the purposes of this notice, consent to processing for registration purposes refers to all the aforementioned activities as a whole.

The provision of data for registration purposes is optional, but in the event of failure to give consent, it will not be possible to register, assign and manage the domain name. The following data will also be visible via the Internet, subject to separate consent, by means of a Whois query, together with the domain name: address of residence or registered office of the registrant, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, of the registrant.

For the purposes of this notice, consent for accessibility and dissemination via the Internet refers only to the latter activities and types of data.

Provision for the purposes of accessibility and dissemination via the Internet is optional; failure to give consent will not preclude registration but only public visibility via Whois query of the aforementioned data, within the limits defined above. Further information on how to query the Registry's database is available on the Registry's website: www.nic.it.

The interested party enjoys the rights set forth in Article 7 of the Personal Data Protection Code, including the right to access, rectify and delete data concerning him/her. The exercise of the aforementioned rights may be exercised by making a request to the Registrar who from time to time manages the contractual relationship with the Registrant and, alternatively, to the Istituto di Informatica e Telematica del CNR, Via Giuseppe Moruzzi, 1, I-56124 Pisa, Italy.
