Are the generated passwords secure?
Yes, passwords are generated using cryptographically secure algorithms directly in your browser (crypto.getRandomValues). No password is transmitted to the server or saved in any way.
What is the recommended password length?
We recommend at least 16 characters with a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols. For maximum security, use 24+ characters or a passphrase of 5+ words. Our tool supports up to 64 characters.
What is password entropy?
Entropy measures the randomness and unpredictability of a password, expressed in bits. The higher the entropy, the more secure the password. A good password should have at least 60 bits of entropy, ideally 80+.
What is a passphrase and why use one?
A passphrase is a sequence of random words (e.g. "horse-mountain-book-sun"). It's easier to remember than a complex password and, with 5+ words, offers very high entropy. Our generator supports Italian dictionaries.
